Fire Alarm CAD Designer

Responsible for the creation of design drawings and submittals (system drawings, bill of material, calculations, technical manuals, “as-built”, etc.) for fire alarm systems and track for design approval.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to understand Code and customer needs, making day-to-day decisions and provide feedback / take action on changes in Code and customer requirements.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and their interface to fire alarm systems. Identify, define and develop solutions to issues that are not immediately evident in existing processes and systems.
  • Work as a team player to technically support our sales team, technicians, CAD drafters, and project managers through the delivery cycle.
  • Demonstrate an ability in drafting/CAD, computer skills estimating/pricing, and project management.
  • Knowledge of multiple electronic building systems.
  • Prefer NICET III

Kitchen Suppression Installer/
Service Technician

A route sales and service position responsible for sale, inspection, service, and installation of restaurant kitchen fire suppression systems (Restaurant Hood Systems), and General Products including Fire Extinguishers and Exit Light systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Restaurant Hood & Fire Suppression Systems Inspection, Service, Installation & Sales
  • Shut off Electric / Gas power to Restaurant appliances
  • Check Hood Fire Suppression System nozzle position, type, & flow points
  • Remove Cylinders, carrying suppression cylinders up and down ladders for installation, inspection, & service
  • Check/test for proper suppression system operation via pull station or testing links
  • Check inside cylinder tanks for corrosion
  • Check and replace fusible links within suppression system
  • Check piping/conduit runs and correct problems when needed
  • Clean Hood Fire Suppression System nozzles and the supply line pipe
  • Check cartridge for proper weight
  • Apply updated inspection tags
  • Perform installation of new restaurant hood fire suppression systems per NFPA guidelines
  • Install new Fire Suppression System components as needed
  • Document Deficiencies and recommendations made to customer
  • Follow all current NFPA guidelines along with federal and state regulations
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Well versed in the safe use of general hand tools and power tools
  • Be able & willing to attain State Fire Extinguisher License if required
  • Active Driver License, in good standing required
  • Meet safe driving policy criteria to be an active company vehicle driver

Preferred:

  • Prior Restaurant Fire Systems and Portables/GP experience
  • Prior sales experience, with emphasis on route sales & route development, is highly preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to push and pull greater than 100 pounds as needed

Fire Suppression Systems Sales
Representative
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Highly motivated and success driven
  • Ability to quickly identify and qualify opportunities
  • High degree of self-discipline
  • Experience working with end users, ability to read blueprints desirable
  • Computer experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills and sales techniques
  • Ability to persuade and close sales
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Obtain appropriate licenses required by national, state and local codes

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor degree in marketing, business, or engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years successful sales experience in Suppression / Special Hazards or similar industry
  • maintain and grow sales within a defined customer base and geographical territory, identify customer needs, and develop sales strategies to meet objectives.
  • Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing marketing strategies.
  • Develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company product offerings, qualify and prioritize opportunities, and maintain appropriate territory records.
  • Conduct seminars, demonstrations, etc. in order to generate, develop, and qualify leads for prospective customers.
  • Develop financial justifications, prepare proposals, make presentations, and perform necessary follow-up for successful closing of the sale.
  • Interface effectively with district operations to deliver and improve service delivery.
  • Report progress and supply metrics to operation and corporate teams on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Participate in trade shows, special product demonstrations and other events with the objective of increasing sales and enhancing the company’s image.

Industrial Fire Protection System
Installer

Perform installation, testing, maintenance and repair of industrial fire equipment including portable and fixed fire extinguisher systems and components, fire detection and alarm system components, fixed gas detection systems components and foam, dry chemical, gaseous fire suppression systems and water-based fire suppression systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install pipe for firefighting foam, dry chemical, clean agent and water-based fire suppression systems
  • Run conduit and pull wire for low-voltage appliances
  • Complete all documentation associated with installation, testing, maintenance and repair in a timely and accurate manner
  • Obtain signature(s) from customer for documentation and proper invoicing
  • Conduct detailed visual inspections and functionality tests of various systems and equipment
  • Report deficiencies and corrective recommendations to customer
  • Assist others in facility including stocking shelves with clean, tested and ready to use equipment and pulling, staging and loading customer orders onto trucks for delivery
  • Maintain work area and other areas in a clean and orderly condition
  • Perform basic maintenance and care of assigned vehicle and/or trailer
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Technician
