Vanguard uses INERGEN® systems to protect enclosed areas where there is a need for quick reaction to a fire, where people may be present, where fire may strike day or night, and where damage from conventional agents cannot be tolerated. This environment-friendly, people-safe agent boasts ZERO ozone depletion potential, ZERO global warming potential, and ZERO atmospheric lifetime.
INERGEN® is a blend of three naturally-occurring inert gases. It does not decompose in a fire. Therefore, there are no concerns about the production of toxic gases. This system, with an early warning AUTOPULSE® control panel, will detect and suppress a fire in its incipient stages with no water damage.  In data centers, INERGEN® will not threaten software or hardware because it does not break down to form damaging acidic byproducts, it is not itself a solvent and it does not produce a significant temperature drop in the protected space.The INERGEN® agent is stored in DOT approved cylinders that can be mounted horizontally or veritcally and located in mechanical or storage areas - which keeps them from taking up valuable space in the protected areas.
